Sign up for the 2023-24 Buffalo Pinball League!

We’re excited to announce that the Buffalo Pinball League is now open for signups.

League nights are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from September to April, with playoffs in May. Start time for league nights is 6 p.m. with an hour of practice beginning at 5 p.m.

It’s an official IFPA league that occurs in private homes. Signups are first-come, first-served, and no refunds will be given.

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2023-24 season is now closed. Sign up for the Buffalo Pinball Mailing List to be notified about registration for future seasons.

Changes to highlight this year:

  1. We’ll be doing a matchplay format this year, much like we did when league first began.  We’ll still be playing 6 games each night, but players will be able to choose which six among the hosts’ entire selection.
  1. There will be a $40 bounty that’s up for grabs each league night.  The player with the highest number of points that league night (regardless of overall league standings) will win the bounty.  If there’s a tie, there will be a playoff that night, so be sure to stick around if you had a good night.

Thanks and we look forward to another amazing year together!

Top 6 in the standings at 9 p.m. will go on to the playoffs, with the top 2 qualifiers getting a bye straight to the finals. Playoffs will be players 3-6 playing one game on Mandalorian, with the top 2 from that group going to the finals, which will be one game on Mandalorian, vs the top 2 qualifiers from the qualifying round (5-9 p.m.)

FAQ

Q: How much money should I bring?
A: At least $6 ($3 for 3 entries, since there’s 3 machines, and then $3 to coin-up each machine). It’s highly recommended to get multiple entries though, in an effort to increase your chances of having a “good” score.

Q: I suck at pinball, should I play?
A: You don’t have to be good at pinball to have fun, look at Jay Fairbrother!

Q: Do I need to show up right at 5 p.m.?
A: No! As long as you get at least 3 entries in before 9pm, you’re good. But, the earlier you come, the more time you have to get in multiple entries.

Q: When will this end?
A: Qualifying stops at 9 p.m., at which time playoffs will begin. Playoffs should be done by 10 p.m.

Q: Will the diverter on Mandalorian break during the tournament?
A: Almost assuredly.

Q: Seriously, I’m scared of tournaments because I’m new, should I come?
A: Do you like pinball? Do you like meeting new people? Then, yes, why not? Playing in tournaments is a good way to get better. Plus, you’ll be a world ranked pinball player by playing!
